Dave Crosdale

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Dave Crosdale following a long battle with cancer. Despite a gruelling treatment schedule, Dave continued to support The League, together with his wife Elaine, as Timekeeper and will be missed enormously by his fellow officials. He remained incredibly positive throughout his struggle and continued to give his time generously to all sorts of sporting organisations including Sportshall Athletics, Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Meetings and his Club Blackley & North Manchester.
The picture above shows Dave on the left, with Elaine on the right. A very proud moment for both, winning the volunteer of the year award for the North West. In the centre and presenting the award is Chris Jones (CEO England Athletics).
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Elaine and their family.
His funeral will take place at 1:30 pm on Tuesday 24 October at Hollinwood Crematorium, Hollinwood Cemetery, Roman Road, Oldham OL8 3LU.
