The sky was ominous…Upon arrival, the wind was blowing across the fields, creating its own noise. The squally showers were adding to the inhospitable conditions.

Despite all of that, clubs turned out in volumes and even suggested that the course was not just great, but also one of the toughest encountered!!
Congratulations to our newer clubs who have affiliated to the League. Special mention to Chorlton Runners for winning the men’s race outright at Wythenshawe Park …A first in every meaning of the word!
Chorlton are also the host club for our latest venue…Kenworthy Woods.

My thanks to the marshals today. Similarly, to our fabulous officials, who turn up in all conditions to make our race day possible. Similarly the League Officers, who behind the scenes put in place all of all the arrangements to allow our league to function.
We are blessed with a fabulous team! The League AGM is being held at Wilmslow Rugby Club, Friday 2nd March at 6.30pm…Followed by our presentation evening from 7.30pm…Last year we celebrated the evening in the company of some 200 people! Get your tickets now!
