Important update…Guest speaker and new ticket price!
We are delighted to have secured the services of Clifton Bradeley as our Guest Speaker. In a distinguished career, Clifton won The All-England Schools 3 times, was the Intermediate Boys 1500m champion, Senior Boys 1500m champion and still holds the championship record of 3.45.5 min/secs.
Clifton was also the Senior Boys X-Country champion, won the AAA Youths 1500m and 3000m, and was 20th in the World X-Country Championships in 1983, also running in in three World Championships and medaling in two.
He broke the British record for the indoor mile (England V USA 1985, a 3.57.88min/sec) to become the first British athlete to run a sub-4-minute mile on an English indoor running track. Did this at 20 years of age. Still the third faster ever Brit. One-week later his career was finished with a sports injury.
At one stage he had a series of 32 unbeaten wins in races, which was broken when finishing 3rd in the National X-country.
Clifton now runs Sub-4 Ltd an innovative biomechanics clinic and helps athletes and footballers from all over the world.

Clifton has agreed to speak without a fee, but asks that in lieu, that all attending bring an item for his Ukraine fund (toothpaste, toothbrush, toiletries etc.)
This does mean that we are now able to reduce the ticket price to £5.00, as we had budgeted for the speaker. Effective from midnight Tuesday 8th March, Eventbrite will be updated to reflect the new price.

Those that have already purchased tickets will have the choice of a refund of the additional amount or it will be used in lieu of bringing an item on the night and will be used as a donation to the fund.
