Manchester League, Match 3, Juniors Report.
The Juniors battled the extreme conditions, fighting out some pulsating races in the wind and freezing rain, over the challenging terrain.
Jamie Richardson of West Cheshire stretched away for an 80m win over Will Strickley, with Henry Pickard third. Orla Gregory took top honours in the girls’ section, with a clear win over Freya Griffiths, with Grace Tobin third.
Imogen Wharton of Warrington moved clear from Jessica Lark in the U15 girls’ race, with Ella Buckley third. Whilst Max Webster of Liverpool was eight second clear of Ben Williams in the U15 boys, with Gabriel Mullen placing third.
Lexie Ellis led Liverpool Harriers to a clean sweep of the first three in the U13 girls’ race, alongside Erin Fay and Bailey Hughes.
Salford Harriers Evan Grime was again impressive in taking the spoils in the U13 Boys’ running clear from Liam O’Brien and Charlie Rigby
Bobby Birkett cruised away from Euan Lawton and Thomas Aron in the U11 boys’ race.
Beatrix Soper was top of the U11 girls’ class, ahead of Megan Boyer and Bonita Kewley.
